Access the CHA Member Directory - Guidance for Local Authorities

We welcome all Local Authorities to benefit from access to the CHA Member Directory.  While LAs who operate their own provision are also encouraged to join The CHA as full members, any LA can register to have full access to our directory of members. 

 

What you can use the CHA Member Directory for:

  • Search for a provider to see if they are a CHA member. All CHA members commit to our Code of Practice and to continually strive for exemplary residential childcare. Membership of CHA indicates providers who are committed to continued improvement, shared learning and above all the wellbeing of children and young people. 
  • Search for CHA members who operate provision in particular regions
  • Read descriptions of the services provided, information about the profiles of children and young people an organisation provides care for, and access contact details for referrals
  • As members take advantage of the new Member Directory features, you will be able to view more information such as document downloads, and whether a provider is open to referrals at a certain time.

 
How to apply to gain access:

To enable any LA to access the full details in our CHA Member Directory, we have created a free, limited ‘membership type’ that allows access to our new digital platform for the purpose of viewing the CHA Member Directory only.

  1. Allocate a Primary Contact to manage your LAs access to the CHA Member Directory. This person will be able to add and remove additional colleagues from the system.
  2. Complete the simple ‘application form’ by following this link >
  3. Once we have approved your membership, you will be able to register your ‘GlueUp’ account and log in. We'll send you clear instructions as part of the approval process, but don't worry, the platform is easy to use.
     

(Please note that if your LA runs its own provision and is already a full CHA member, you will already be able to access the CHA Member Directory via the member community and app. Your organisation’s Primary Contact will be able to add you to the system. If you’re not sure who that is, or if your LA is a full CHA member, please email admin@the-cha.org.uk and we will be able to assist you.
